Fruit of the Loom Sizing & Fit Guide
Fruit of the Loom underwear runs true to generous sizing. Their classic styles offer a relaxed fit. Eversoft and Breathable Micro-Mesh lines are slightly more form-fitting. Men's sizes go by waist measurement; Fruit of the Loom sizes women's underwear by hip measurement.
How Fruit of the Loom Women's Sizes Work
Fruit of the Loom labels women's underwear with a number and a letter together — the official chart runs from 4/XS to 10/3XL — and sizes them by hip measurement, not waist. A size 6/M fits 38-39 inch hips (about pant size 8-10), and each size up adds roughly two inches at the hip. Their official measuring tip: wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips with a finger between the tape and your body for ease, and if you land between sizes, pick the next larger one.
Fruit of the Loom Men's Underwear Sizing
Men's Fruit of the Loom underwear is sized by waist alone. The official chart runs S (28-30 in) through 3XL (48-50 in), matching the ranges in the table above. Note that the published ranges skip some in-between waists — a 31 or 35 inch waist doesn't fall inside any listed size — and Fruit of the Loom's official advice for that gap is the same as for between-sizes: go up to the next larger size. Measure slightly below your natural waist, where you normally wear your pants.
