Official requirements

The numbers below come from the official notice. Each source is quoted as we read it.

  • Photo

    JPG10–200 KB

Official item: 'Photograph (with 80% face without mask)'. Recent passport-size photograph in colour, with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears, against a white background. No pixel, cm or dpi values are stated. The 2026 bulletin gives two different values: the Step 2 text says JPG/JPEG 10-200 kb, but the replica upload screen (Appendix IX) shows Min 10 / Max 300 KB; this page uses the stricter 200 kb maximum (see the other readings below). The 300 KB value exists only inside the screenshot on PDF p.86 (no text layer). The same photograph is pasted on the attendance sheet at the examination centre.

  • Photo (live capture)

    Taken live on the portal

Captured live inside the application form (webcam, or the on-screen QR code scanned with a phone/tablet); not a file upload. Light-coloured background, proper lighting, 80% face visible including ears, no mask.

  • Signature

    JPG10–50 KB

Official item: 'Signature'. The 2026 bulletin gives two different values: the Step 2 text says JPG/JPEG 10-100 kb; the replica upload screen (Appendix IX) shows Min 10 / Max 50 KB. This page uses the stricter maximum (50 kb); a file of 10-50 kb satisfies both (see the other readings below). The 50 KB value exists only inside the screenshot on PDF p.86 (no text layer). No pixel/cm dimensions and no ink-colour or capital-letter rule are stated.

  • Document

    JPG10–200 KB

Identity Proof - conditional: needed only for candidates who verify their identity by a method other than Aadhaar or DigiLocker (Step 2 text: JPG/JPEG between 10 kb to 200 kb). The replica upload screen in Appendix IX shows no identity-proof row, so there is no second reading.

The notice also says:

  • Photograph: the replica upload screen (Appendix IX, transcribed from the screenshot) shows a 300 KB maximum; this page uses the bulletin text's 200 kb Photograph (with 80% face without mask) | Document Format: JPG/JPEG | Min Size (KB): 10 | Max Size (KB): 300
  • Signature: the bulletin text (Step 2) states 10-100 kb; this page uses the stricter 50 KB maximum shown on the replica upload screen (Appendix IX) Signature file should be JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible) between 10 kb to 100 kb.
  • Also required (not handled by this tool) Scanned copy of Class 10 or Equivalent Certificate/Marks-sheet should be a pdf between 50 kb to 300 kb (clearly legible). | [Appendix IX replica upload screen, transcribed from the screenshot: Class 10 or Equivalent Certificate/Marks-sheet | Document Format: PDF | Min Size (KB): 10 | Max Size (KB): 300] | Scanned copy of Disability/UDID certificate should be a pdf between 50 kb to 300 kb (clearly legible).

We show these readings but check your file against the numbers in the cards above.

What we check — and what we don't

  • File type. The file you download is a JPG.

  • Pixels. The width and height in pixels, when the notice states them. We scale the picture, and crop it when the notice sets both sides, and never stretch it.

  • File size. The size in KB, kept inside the notice's limits however a KB is counted.

We do not check what the picture shows, such as the background, the face position, the date of a photo or whose signature it is. A portal may check these too, and only the portal can accept or reject your upload. We are not affiliated with National Testing Agency: always confirm the numbers on the official notice.

How to fix your file

  1. Pick what you are uploading, then choose or drop your JPG, PNG or WebP file (up to 25 MB). It is read on your device.
  2. Press Fix my file. We scale, crop and compress it until it fits the official numbers above.
  3. Download the fixed copy and upload it on the official application portal.
