Resize an image to an exact size
Set the limit your form or website asks for, add your photo or signature, and download a copy that fits, all in your browser, so your file never leaves your device.
Set the size you need
Type the numbers from your form's instructions, or tap a common size. Leave a box empty if the form does not set it.
Enter a size limit or a pixel size.
Add your file
Set a size limit or a pixel size above to continue.
How it works
- Set the size: type the limit from your form, or tap a common one.
- Choose or drop your JPG, PNG or WebP file. It is read on your device.
- Press Fix my file. We scale, crop and compress until it fits, then you download it.
What we check
- File type. The file you download is always a JPG.
- Pixels. The width and height in pixels, when you set them. We scale the picture, and crop it when you set both, and never stretch it.
- File size. The size in KB, when you set it, kept inside your limit however a KB is counted.
A portal may check other things too, and only the portal can accept or reject your file. Confirm the requirement on the official notice.
Questions
No. Your file is read and changed inside your browser, on your device, and no part of your file is sent to our servers. We only count anonymous events, such as that a file was fixed and roughly how large it was. We never receive the file, its name or what is in it.
You can add a JPG, PNG or WebP image of up to 25 MB. The file you download is always a JPG, which most upload forms accept.
It should not be: we only offer a download once the file is inside your limit. Systems count a KB differently (1,000 or 1,024 bytes), so we keep the file under your limit both ways. If your file manager still shows a larger number, check that you are looking at the downloaded copy and not your original. When we cannot reach the limit we say so, usually because the picture is very detailed. Try a simpler image, a tighter crop or a smaller pixel size.
No. We check three things against the numbers you set: the file type, the pixel size and the file size, and nothing else. A portal can check other things, and only the portal can accept or reject your upload, so always confirm the requirement on its official notice.
